Artist Statement

The Praytor Project is an artistic team consisting of Robin Criss-Praytor and John Praytor.  They have been making art of one kind or another since they married in 2005.  John began in stained glass but was soon seduced into mosaics when Robin began creating beautiful art out of anything that held still long enough to be glued to a board.  Currently, Robin is the imagination of the group, with a gift for color and design, while John helps to bring a bit of structure into play.  Their different strengths mesh together nicely to produce controlled chaos in glass and ceramics.  Robin and John's work varied from found object art applied to recycled cabinet doors, to stained glass sculpture, to anything else their artistic sensibilities find interesting and fun.  Especially fun.
