Louise Hoskins
Artist Statement

Louise Boyle Hoskins is a Native Oklahoma growing up in Harper County and raising her family in Kingfisher County.  Louise looked forward to retirement so she could pursue her hobbies.

A neighbor showed Louise to crochet a chain and that started years of crocheting, teaching herself to read patterns.  Myrtle Evans told Louise to get a thimble and she started her quilting endeavor.  When Louise decided she wanted to knit, she purchased a "how to" book and taught herself to knit.  Next she wanted to learn to tat.

She enjoys making gifts for family and friends and sells the "extra" items.  She always has something in her hands while watching or listening to her favorite ball teams, especially OSU sports.
