“Today I choose to enjoy these gifts: my two crafters hands which give attention to finest detail, and my artist spirit, inspired by all of life, from the simple twig I pick up on my morning walk, to the events of our world.

I receive great satisfaction in seeing a piece of art materialize as I use my bare hands and my tools such as hammers, saws, or fire to enhance the raw beauty in metals and stones. 

Each day I study techniques of the metalsmith and the lapidary, from ancient to modern, always trying to move closer to the goal of perfection in my craft.

As I work, I think about who might wear the finished piece and I hope for their happiness. I am honored to participate in adding beauty to the world.”
