Artist Bio

James Coplin has lived in Edmond for over 20 years.  He received his Bachelor's degree in Art Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and has taught in Edmond Public Schools for the past 17 years.  Coplin's renditions illustrate landscapes, still life and western art.  Over the past several years, he has received training from such noted Prix de West winners as Martin Grelle and Curt Walters.  Of his work, Coplin says, "I try to capture the experience of being there."
