“Color, form, and mood play a strong role in my paintings. My art is not simply a matter of putting color on canvas or paper, it becomes an expression my world - a world of beauty, promise, and fun. “

Color, form, and mood play a strong role in my paintings. My art is not simply a matter of putting color on canvas or paper, it becomes an expression my world - a world of beauty, promise, and fun. As a child I always had a crayon, pencil, or a paint brush in my hand.  Then my life took me on a different journey. In the early'90s, after a prolonged absence from art, I once again picked up my pencil and paintbrush, and it felt like home.

As a professional artist in acrylic and watercolor painting since the early '90s, Cindy Mason has exhibited at 50 Penn Place, Kirkpatrick Center Museum, and traveling exhibitions throughout Oklahoma as well as a show at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport and a gallery in Austin, Texas. She has participated in exhibitions with the Art Guild of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma Watercolor Association where she has won numerous awards. Mason has participated in the Edmond Arts Festival and Oklahoma City Community College Festival Oklahoma. She has also been invited to participate in fund-raisers for the Oklahoma Art Museum, Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition, Planned Parenthood, and Independent Artists of Oklahoma.

A self-taught artist, Mason has studied with Bert Seabourn, Suzanne King Randall, and Gloria De Duncan. She paints mostly in watercolor and acrylic. She also works in charcoal and mixed media.
